Structure of coaxial cables
Coaxial cables are available in various designs, with the most important distinguishing features being the inner conductor and the shielding. The inner conductor can be either solid or stranded, i.e. a rope made up of several fine conductors. The shielding also varies between single and multiple designs. The choice of the appropriate cable always depends on the intended application and the frequency to be transmitted.
For example, outdoor use requires special attention to a weatherproof sheath, while for applications with constant movement, a cable with a stranded inner conductor and a flexible braided shield is preferable. With the help of our cable comparison, you can compare the different coaxial cables and choose the correct model for your specific requirements.
