Twinaxial cable (PiMf)
Symmetrical conduction, two insulated conductors are surrounded by the shielding, STP = Shielded Twisted Pair. For high transmission rates, not only a outer shielding is used, but a pair shielding. In the signal recipient at the cable outlet, the part signals of the two conductors are added together with their absolute value, resulting in the total signal. This addition neutralizes the interference signals of the two single conductors so that only the useful signal is available. Thus, the symmetric transmission principle is considerably less sensitive to external interference influences.
